I designed the template for this document in Word so that it could be passed around to the various members of the project team in Denver and Las Vegas who were responsible for writing each section. I then brought the document into InDesign. I formatted all charts and graphs directly in Excel to be brought into InDesign, and redesigned in Illustrator many other graphics originally produced in CAD by engineers. This document won a Society for Technical Communicators Award of Excellence in Technical Art in 2007.
